Are you a hands‑on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining commercial printing and imaging equipment? Do you thrive in the field, solving problems, and supporting customers with high service standards? Canon USA is seeking a Field Service Technician III to join our service team. You’ll be responsible for on‑site maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of Canon‑supported copiers, printers, and multi‑function imaging devices (MFPs) at client locations – often in a fast‑paced, 24/7 customer‑driven setting where responsiveness and reliability are key.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and break/fix repair of digital imaging equipment (copiers, printers, MFPs).
- Respond quickly and professionally to customer service calls in the field.
- Maintain accurate service logs and reports, including Field Service Reports and Expense Reports.
- Report product failure trends and serviceability issues to your manager with proper documentation.
- Ensure all assigned equipment meets operational performance standards.
- Represent Canon in a customer‑facing role with professionalism and excellent communication skills.
- Adhere to customer‑specific site protocols, which may include COVID‑19 or other safety measures.
- Deliver exceptional service and support in a 24/7 customer‑driven environment where uptime matters.
- Typical requirement of general and/or vocational training plus 2 to 4 years of related experience.
- An Associate’s degree in electronics or electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
- Direct experience working as a field technician.
- Capacity to meet or exceed the minimum performance standards for productive technical quality and customer satisfaction for assigned territory.
- Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required).
- Capable of excelling in a 24/7 environment, while performing shift work and on‑call rotations.
- Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter premises.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
In accordance with applicable law, the anticipated hourly rate for this role is $24.39 – $36.53. This role is eligible for a transportation allowance.
