Role Overview
Termite Technicians use their expertise to play a role in protecting customers' properties from wood-destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.
Responsibilities- Identify customer’s termite problems and determine remedial steps based on termite behavior and habits.
- Perform termite treatment services safely according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
- Communicate to the customer critical conditions conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications that may be supplemental to the treatment process.
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services provided.
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations.
- Prepare the job site for treatment.
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
- Be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder and working in small confined spaces.
- General labor, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, and attic experience is a plus.
- Ability to work on roofs and high areas.
- Lots of moving around—regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA-compliant respirator, and be okay with regularly working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Clean, shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal with face).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- At least 1 year of customer service; experience in termite control is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Licenses or certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Basic math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
Hourly: $18.00 – $20.00
