A drain technician inspects, cleans, and repairs drain and sewer systems in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. They diagnose drainage issues and resolve problems like clogs, leaks, and damage to ensure proper water flow and sanitation.

- Perform drain cleaning services using tools such as augers, hydro-jetters, and camera inspection equipment for residential and commercial customers.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and system failures.
- Install and maintain plumbing fixtures, including sinks, faucets, water heaters, and piping systems.
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify potential issues or inefficiencies.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and project timelines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot drain and sewer issues, identifying the root cause of blockages, backups, and slow drains.
- Perform preventative maintenance services on drainage systems to reduce likelihood of future issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining issues, presenting solutions, and providing upfront pricing for recommended services.
- Maintain and care for company tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Work safely, adhering to all aspects of the Health, Safety, and Environmental Program, and support all company safety efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 6 months - 1 year of Drain Cleaning experience
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computers and familiar with the Microsoft Software Suite
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management to meet deadlines
- Ability to identify a need, remove barriers, and get results
- Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people, using common sense and applied logic
- Must possess or obtain an appropriate state driver’s license before employment, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation
