Technician II

Position Summary

Lighting Technician – full‑time, San Jose, CA. Install and assemble lamps, ballasts, and other lighting components; ensure safety and compliance with National Electrical Code; maintain the job site; provide excellent customer service; and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.

• Accurately assemble and install lamps, ballasts and other lighting components within various fixture types while following all National Electrical Code guidelines.
• Maintain the jobsite to the highest standards, including cleaning, preparation, and elimination of all possible hazards.
• Provide a top‑notch customer experience, interacting professionally and respectfully, and going above and beyond customer expectations.
• Work safely, following all Centrica and OSHA guidelines, and actively participate in and complete regular safety training.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.

Core components of success (must haves):

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial electrical, lighting retrofit, and/or related experience.

OR

• Electrical Trade or Vocational Program diploma or certificate.
• At least 1 year of experience in commercial electrical, lighting retrofit, and/or related experience.
• An ability to work varying shifts as needed to include nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Active Driver’s License.

Plus
:

• 2‑year/Associate’s degree in Applied Electrical Technology or related field.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience with energy conservation lighting projects.
• Mechanical experience and/or aptitude.

US base salary range: $23.00/hr to $27.00/hr, plus benefits. Pay may vary by location and individual qualifications.
