As a Multi‑Site Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the community. You’ll complete repairs, prepare apartment homes for new residents, and ensure the property remains safe, functional, and visually appealing.
This role combines hands‑on technical work, problem solving, and customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform ongoing maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general property components
- Maintain lighting, irrigation systems, pools, and overall grounds
- Support the overall safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the community
- Diagnose and complete repairs for work orders and service requests
- Handle interior and exterior repairs including fixtures, appliances, and structural elements
- Respond to maintenance issues promptly and effectively
- Prepare apartment homes for new residents within required timelines
- Complete repairs and ensure units meet company quality standards
- Communicate unit readiness with management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop
- Track inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available
- Report major repairs prior to expenditures
- Provide professional, courteous service to residents
- Communicate clearly with residents and management
- Support a positive and responsive community
- Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hours emergencies
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and management teams
- Timely completion of work orders and service requests
- Make‑ready units completed within established timelines
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
- Responds effectively to emergency and on‑call needs
- Consistently delivers high‑quality repairs and workmanship
- Supports overall property appearance and resident satisfaction
Clear path within maintenance operations:
Maintenance Technician I, II, III, Lead Maintenance Technician, Area Maintenance Supervisor, Regional or Corporate Roles. Advancement is based on experience, certifications, technical competencies, performance, and business needs.
- Strong technical skills across building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
- Customer service mindset and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience required
- HVAC certification preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required
