Wheel Repair Technician
We are looking for a candidate that can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Wheel Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, refinishing, and restoring damaged vehicle wheels to manufacturer and company quality standards. This position requires expertise in cosmetic and structural wheel repair, painting, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The technician works closely with the Service Department to ensure timely repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction.
The Wheel Repair Technician is expected to produce high-quality repairs while following company standards and safety procedures to ensure customer satisfaction. This role offers hands-on experience and comprehensive training to kick-start your career in the automotive industry.
The Wheel Repair Technician position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $24.00 - $27.00.
This position is 100% on site at Lexus Stevens Creek - 1500 Coleman Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050.

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Inspect aluminum and alloy wheels for cosmetic and structural damage.
- Repair curb rash, scratches, gouges, and other wheel damage.
- Perform cosmetic refinishing including sanding, filling, priming, painting, clear coating, and polishing.
- Match paint colors and finishes to OEM standards.
- Mount tires as needed following wheel repairs.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and work orders.
- Communicate repair recommendations and completion status with Service Advisors and management.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures.
- Properly maintain tools, equipment, and work area.
- Meet production, quality, and turnaround time expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintains area assigned to workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
- Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individuals should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, desired;
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance use for interior repairs and mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying and percentages) and application.
- Ability to operate manual transmissions vehicles; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.
- Must have a valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
