Senior Technician Service

Job Summary

Senior Service Technicians report directly to the Operations Manager, but are responsible to the Service Coordinators on a daily activity basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform on site installations, IT troubleshooting and programming services on alarms, access control and video surveillance equipment, communication and security systems; maintaining a regular inspection schedule documenting activities; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available as needed.

• Perform upgrades and additions to Security Systems in order to increase functionality.
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and perform repairs as necessary.
• Install, maintain, or repair security systems, security devices, or related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
• All work is performed to RFI standards and quality techniques are practiced.
• Work with personal on system startup to ensure complete system compliance.
• Adhere to procedures and standards in system design for quality installations.
• Maintain and update project information with in RFI shared files and systems.
• Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities without supervision.
• Capacity to organize workload for effective implementation.
• Be knowledgeable of current industry standards and emerging technologies.
• Other duties deemed necessary.

• High school education, or equivalent, or 2-year associate degree in electronics required.
• 5 years minimum experience with security installations.
• Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
• Basic computer skills.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurance.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Maintain professional licensing and certifications as required by manufacturers, State and Local jurisdictions.
• Military training / experience a plus.

PAY RANGE: $45-65 HOURLY
