Test and Validation Technician - Aerospace - 12 Month Contract About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Test and Validation Technician to support aircraft subsystems integration test labs. This role is central to building, maintaining, and troubleshooting the lab environments used to validate aircraft subsystem performance — from wire harness fabrication to component-level repair and replacement.

What You'll Do
  • Help build aircraft subsystems integration test labs
  • Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and understand common electrical symbols and components
  • Fabricate wire harnesses from diagrams and BOMs (bills of materials)
  • Repair and replace aircraft subsystem components in a lab environment
  • Provide day‑to‑day lab support, including component removal and installation
  • Maintain lab documentation for lab modifications, repairs, and upgrades
  • Inspect the work of other technicians to ensure quality and conformity with design specifications
  • Assist in troubleshooting subsystems integration issues
  • Fabricate and ring‑out wiring harnesses for testing/debugging purposes
  • Follow proper working techniques for cleanliness, reliability, and quality
What You Need
  • 3+ years of experience as an electrical technician in aviation, aerospace, or a similar industry
  • Technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft subsystems operation and troubleshooting
  • Hands‑on experience cutting, splicing, and crimping wires to fabricate a wide variety of harness types
  • Extreme attention to detail and high expectations for quality technical work
  • Ability to replace various subsystem components
  • A safety‑conscious mindset for ensuring the well‑being of all working in the labs
Ideal Background
  • Aviation/aerospace experience, especially military aircraft maintenance
  • A&P certification (Airframe preferred; Powerplant also acceptable)
  • Hands‑on wiring expertise: connectors, crimping tools, and intricate harness work
Bonus Qualifications
  • A&P License (if not already held as part of ideal background)
  • Experience with FAA type certification and conformal test setups
