The pay scale for this position is: $53.43 to $65.11 Hourly or $ to $ annually. It includes the 5% non pensionable pay. The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience.
Benefits- Electrician Certification Incentive Provision
- International Brotherhood of Elecreical Workers (IBEW) - ONLY - Effective July 24, 2022, employees who possess a California State General Electrician certification shall receive a 1% electrician certification incentive in addition to their base salary, each bi-weekly pay period. The employee must always have a valid California State General Electrician certification in order to be eligible for the electrician certification incentive. The electrician certification incentive is subject to the approval and determination of the Department Director or designee.
Employees in classifications that require this electrician certification as a minimum qualification are not eligible for the electrician certification incentive. Payment of such incentive is not intended to impair or alter the City’s ability to transfer or reassign an employee.

- Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility (RWF) is one of the largest advanced wastewater treatment facilities in the nation and treats water from homes and businesses in the cities of San José, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and unincorporated areas within Santa Clara County. The RWF serves a population of over 1.4 million people and has the capacity to treat 167 million gallons of wastewater per day.

The RWF is hiring Industrial Electricians. These positions will be located at the RWF at 700 Los Esteros Road, San Jose, CA 95134. The RWF is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The typical schedule for this position is day shift, Monday through Friday and infrequently the position may be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays if needed.
Upon completion of probation, employees may elect to work a flexible work schedule such as four, ten hour days per week or an alternate work schedule of working nine hours each day with one day off every other week.
