Earthwork Operators

In this role, you will operate heavy machinery, ensure proper grading and site preparation, and support field operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. If you enjoy working with heavy equipment, being outdoors, and contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects, this role may be a great fit.

Schedule:

Full-time; schedule varies based on project and site needs Compensation:
Starting at $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Operate heavy equipment such as graders, bulldozers, loaders, and excavators
• Perform rough and fine grading based on plans and project requirements
• Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and job specifications
• Maintain proper slopes, drainage, and elevations
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation
• Perform basic equipment maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, minor adjustments)
• Communicate with supervisors and crew members to coordinate work
• Follow all company safety policies and site-specific safety requirements
• Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions
• Assist with additional job site duties as needed

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2-4 years of experience operating heavy grading equipment
• Proven ability to operate equipment safely and accurately
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and grade stakes
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Experience with rail construction equipment is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• FRA certification required when applicable
• CDL is a plus
