Android Developer | Contract Opportunity | Retail Industry Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Android Developer to support one of the largest Retail Industry Leaders in the U.S. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative mobile solutions that impact millions of customers daily. As part of our contracting team, you will be embedded with the client’s mobile engineering team, collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality Android applications.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to implement app features.
• Debug, optimize, and improve app performance and user experience.
• Integrate APIs and third-party libraries into mobile solutions.
• Stay updated with Android trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and contribute to knowledge sharing.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
  .
• Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Android Studio
  , and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile app architecture (MVVM, MVP, etc.).
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Automated testing and CI/CD experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
