Role SummaryAs a Senior Frontend Engineer (P40), you will craft innovative, performant, and delightful user experiences for Adobe’s web applications. Leveraging React Spectrum and Adobe design system initiatives, you will deliver consistent, high‑quality interfaces while creating tailored components when unique requirements arise. You will also explore and integrate AI‑driven workflows to enhance user experience and productivity, ensuring Adobe products remain at the forefront of innovation.
Collaboration with backend teams to define and refine API contracts will be a key part of your role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required;
Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. - Typically 5+ years of frontend development experience.
- Expert in React, Type Script, and modern frontend architecture.
- Strong understanding of React Spectrum or similar design systems.
- Familiarity with state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar).
- Experience with Vite for modern build tooling.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices for frontend applications.
- Interest in AI‑driven user experience and ability to integrate intelligent workflows.
- Define and implement component‑based architectures using React Spectrum and complementary Adobe UI frameworks.
- Design reusable UI components aligned with Adobe’s design language, optimizing for performance.
- Create custom components when product requirements extend beyond existing design system capabilities.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate UX concepts into elegant, scalable implementations.
- Incorporate AI‑driven interactions and workflows into the user experience.
- Work closely with backend engineers to define and validate API contracts for seamless integration.
- Own programming and testing plans for large‑scale frontend solutions.
- Write high‑quality, maintainable code in Type Script following best practices.
- Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) using Playwright.
- Optimize rendering performance and bundle size using modern tooling like Vite.
- Drive new patterns and frameworks that improve developer productivity and user experience.
- Influence architecture and design decisions with visible contributions at the feature level.
- Advocate for AI‑powered enhancements and inclusive design in all UI implementations.
- Provide technical recommendations and expertise to senior leaders.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in frontend development.
- Lead cross‑team technical discussions and drive alignment on UI/UX standards.
- Regularly share knowledge within and outside your team.
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies (e.g., React Server Components, AI‑driven UX patterns) and advocate for their adoption.
- Capable of leading distributed/global teams to deliver complex UI capabilities.
- Shares technical expertise in company‑wide and external forums.
- Seen as a role model for technical excellence and collaboration.
U.S. pay range: $139,000 – $257,550 annually. In California, $177,900 – $257,550. Salary varies by location and experience. Total target compensation includes base salary and incentives. Long‑term equity may be available.
