Principal Flight Software Engineer

Overview

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Principal Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA, San Jose, CA or Houston, TX offices. In this role, you will work on a variety of challenging projects including NASA’s Artemis program and the Power Propulsion Element.

• Design and implement software for embedded Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for flight software systems.
• Develop software verification plans, unit level and open loop test suites, and procedures; execute test procedures and document results to ensure software system requirements are met.
• Perform software product lifecycle management.
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, processes, and system-specific issues.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 15 years of software development experience.
• Embedded C++ programming skills on multicore-processor architecture.
• VxWorks and cFS experience.

We disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided and is determined based on job-related factors, including experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions.

• The base pay for this position within California is: $ - $ annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and each location where we hire may have a different range.
