Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Developer to join our team supporting a Risk/identity Organization on a strategic platform integration and growth project. This is a hands‑on role focused on building robust, scalable backend services using Spring Framework.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate Venmo capabilities into existing systems.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with risk management standards.
• Optimize application performance and scalability for high‑volume transactions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development (Java).
• Strong proficiency with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with risk management systems or payment platforms is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of financial services or payment processing systems.
