• Responsible for the design and implementation of a global-scale machine learning system for feeds, ads and search ranking models.
• Responsible for building monitoring and managing tools to oversee the reliability and scalability of online inference servers.
• Responsible for building tools to analyze bottlenecks and sources of instability and then design and implement solutions.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  Currently pursuing a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience in developing and deploying large-scale distributed systems. Experience in ML/Deep learning Frameworks. Proficient in C/C++/Python/Golang, and have solid programming skills (e.g. algorithms and data structures).
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Strong background in one of the following fields:
  Hardware-Software Co‑Design, High Performance Computing, ML Hardware Acceleration (e.g., GPU/RDMA) or ML for Systems. Experience contributing to an open‑source machine learning framework (Tensor Flow / JAX / PyTorch / Torch Script / MXNet / Tensor
  
  RT).

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $118657 - $259200 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
