What you need (Qualifications)- 10+ years of experience in a related field
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- Expert in Python or C, C++
- Very experienced with model based development using Matlab/Simulink
- Experience in developing and maintaining relational databases
- Extensive experience developing enterprise level applications
- Expert at gathering user requirements and developing design diagrams, user documentations, and project plans for developing software
- Expert at architecting software tools and development, including internal and external APIs
- Very knowledgeable of standard software development tools
- Continuous integration - Team City / Artifactory
- Version control - Git / Bitbucket
- Issue tracking - Jira
- Development environment application deployment, and orchestration - Ansible
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable leading Agile/SCRUM methodologies and tools throughout the organization
- Familiarity with Tool Qualification Levels TQL
- Experience developing real-time software for a Hardware-in-the-Loop aircraft simulator
- Experience building and developing for a COTS HIL platform (dSPACE, NI, ADI, etc)
- Understanding of the National Instruments (NI) software suite
- Solid understanding of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485, CAN, ARINC-429, AFDX, Ethernet, TCP/IP, USB etc…)
- Experience automating and executing test plans
- Familiarity with fault injection methodologies
- Proficiency with model based development using Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with DO-178 and other aviation standards
- Familiarity with or a passion for aviation
