Software Engineer, Java Developer

Overview

Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

• Develop a product on Cloud Pak for data as a service.

• Provide the canvas enhancements to the product along with developing components such as stages and connectors.

• Analyze and resolve product-related customer issues by collaborating with Level 2 support engineers and providing solutions through technical sessions and code-level fixes as needed.

• Maintain high quality code by writing and executing extensive unit test cases and automated test cases to ensure that all of them pass.

• Capture the results of the testing in the team’s internal repository system as text and visual documentations.

• Deliver reliable, requirements-based code aligned with stakeholder needs and release schedules.

• Participate in daily scrums to provide updates and receive guidance from the Scrum Master and manager.

• Collaborate with design architects within the team to understand the design and provide valuable input based on experience.

• Provide estimates for tasks and help with the overall planning of the project.

• Deliver code, create and move issues between extended teams.

• Create pull requests, review and merge the code as needed.

• Collaborate with the team, submitting code reviews to peers, understanding the review comments and addressing them appropriately.

  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Studies or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, Java, Linux. $177634 - $227634 per year. Full time. H254.
