Lead Software Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and test key components of our platform, including automated and continuous integration.
• Develop systems that are highly reliable and scalable, yet remain easy to maintain.
• Help improve availability, performance, scalability, and security of the product.
• Take independent ownership of feature/component design and conduct effective peer code reviews.
• Lead and participate in production deployment activities and diagnose and resolve issues from the production environment.
• Evaluate new technologies and help incorporate them into the technology stack.
• Actively participate in architecture and design discussions.

• 10+ years working in SaaS platforms and technologies.
• Experience planning and implementing architectures for new services or components.
• Strong core Java or other object‑oriented languages, design patterns, and OOD/OOP skills.
• Knowledge of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL or MySQL, including designing SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
• Familiarity with common API and design best practices.
• Solid understanding of Docker or other container orchestration systems.
• Positive work attitude, self‑starter, and standout colleague.
• Strong written, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.

• Hands‑on experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm charts and related concepts.
• Experience with Mongo
  
  DB, Apache Cassandra, Kafka, or Redis.
• Experience building enterprise applications with the Spring framework.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Affinity for APM and monitoring tools (New Relic, Wavefront, Vivid Cortex).
• Understanding of vector databases and their role in advanced data retrieval for Gen AI.
• Experience implementing Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture for grounding models.
• Familiarity with Agent‑to‑Agent (A2A) communication protocol, Multi‑Agent Coordination Protocol (MCP), Langchain or similar frameworks, Lang Graph or similar frameworks, AI Evals for complex AI workflows.
• Experience guiding other engineers on the teams.

U.S. pay range: $159,200 – $301,600 annually, varying by location and experience. In California: $208,300 – $301,600.
