Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer position for the design and development of various products. The candidate will lead in the design and implementation of our product platforms built on the latest technology stack. The selected candidate will work closely with the product management team to help define and implement new features.

• Design and development of various products spread across multiple platforms.
• Expand the scope, scale, performance, and reliability of the product.
• Use judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions.
• Responsible for communicating with QA and Performance testing teams to deliver a high quality solution offering.

• 3+ years of experience in C++/Java
• 3+ years of experience in either MySQL or SQLite
• Excellent working knowledge in PHP, HTML, CSS
• Problem solving capabilities and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person and by telephone
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Enthusiasm to learn new tools and technologies
• Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)

The Database Engineer at My Phone Data  will architect and maintain database technology footprints for new and future software products. The candidate will work towards developing a strong foothold of the company in the technology domain by bringing in the latest from database technology for faster and more efficient product performance. The selected candidate will work with the product development team.

• Database and SQL tuning, including reduction in I/Os, views and triggers.
• Creating indexes where required while considering the fill factor for existing ones.
• Laying out proper query execution plans before embedding the query in products.
• Long term responsibilities will include overlap with the backend team.
• Responsible for communicating with product development for updated information on products.

As a PHP Developer, one would be responsible for maintaining the company's forefront website pages and workflows. The candidate will also lead the search engine optimization decisions for the company website while coordinating with the marketing team.
