Software Engineer, Enterprise Systems - USDS

Overview

Enterprise System team serves as the integrated digital core of our organization, unifying complex business processes—from finance to supply chain—into a single, real‑time data source. In this role, you will leverage this large‑scale software infrastructure to eliminate data silos, streamline cross‑departmental workflows, and drive high‑level operational efficiency across the global enterprise.

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain high‑performance APIs (REST, Graph
  
  QL) and middleware to connect disparate internal and third‑party systems.
• Optimize complex SQL/No
  
  SQL queries and manage data persistence layers for high‑volume transactional data.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement caching strategies, load balancing, and asynchronous processing to ensure system reliability.
• Assist in the strategic migration of monolithic legacy systems toward microservices or cloud‑native architectures.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience.
• Programming experience with at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, C# or Go.

• Good understanding of every aspect of microservice architecture, and hands‑on experience in troubleshooting in large‑scale distributed systems.
• Experience in building solutions with AWS, Google, Azure, or other cloud services.
• Passionate, self‑motivated with good teamwork skills.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually):
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136,800 - $359,720 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day‑one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) savings plan with company match; paid parental leave; short‑term and long‑term disability coverage; life insurance; wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year, and 17 days of paid personal time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
