Position:
Power System Control & Firmware Engineer
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Work with power system application engineers closely to develop system power solutions with a focus on digital control loop and firmware design for AC/DC and DC/DC power converters in AI data center and telecom applications.
- Develop digital power control algorithms and implement real‑time control with firmware.
- Work with other hardware engineers to perform system integration and validation tests of digital power system reference designs per customer specifications.
- Provide detailed technical support to customers to solve system application problems with firmware changes.
- Generate test reports and application design guides/manuals for firmware used in power converters.
- Develop technical training documents and conduct training seminars for FAEs and customers.
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- MS in EE with a minimum of 6 years of experience in digital control and firmware design of power converters, or B.S. in EE with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the same area.
- Detailed knowledge of ARM processors or DSPs for various power applications.
- Proficiency in computer languages and software development with C, C++, Assembly language, Python, etc.
- Hands‑on experience in firmware design for AC/DC power supplies and DC/DC converters.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Well‑organized, self‑driven, and able to work effectively either independently or in a team environment.
San Jose, CA:
Minimum of $155,000 base salary per year / Maximum of $213,200 base salary per year.
El Segundo, CA:
Minimum of $135,900 base salary per year / Maximum of $186,000 base salary per year.
All employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
