Data Engineer Intern

Baynovation is hiring a Data Engineer Intern to join our team in San Jose, CA.

Currently enrolled full‑time and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Experience working with databases and data warehouses (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Postgre

SQL, etc.)

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and data modeling concepts

Proficiency with at least one programming language used for data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, etc.)

Familiarity with SQL for querying and transforming large datasets

Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic testing/debugging practices

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve real‑world data challenges and contribute to production‑level solutions

Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines

Ensure data reliability, integrity, and consistency across internal systems

Work on data ingestion, transformation, and storage tasks using cloud‑based tools and platforms

Write clean, testable, and well‑documented code with guidance from your mentor, manager, and team

Participate in all stages of the data engineering lifecycle including design reviews, code reviews, testing, and deployment
