Responsibilities- Build new features that touch hundreds of millions of people around the world.
- Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems.
- Build the next-generation monetization platform to help millions of customers grow their businesses.
- Work with your mentor to deliver product features and make engineering improvements.
- Build world‑class web applications that combine usability, accessibility, elegance, performance, and maintainability.
- Conduct cutting‑edge research and development in computer vision, machine learning and other related fields.
- Work with Research Scientists to deliver advanced technologies to Tik Tok products.
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Strong track record of research in one or more areas of computer vision, computer graphics and machine learning, preferring candidates with publications in top‑tier venues such as SIGGRAPH/SIGGRAPH Asia, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR.
- Highly competent in algorithms and programming.
- Work and collaborate well with team members.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.
- High levels of creativity and quick problem‑solving capabilities.
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $60–$60.

Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
