Internship Overview
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at Tik Tok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands‑on experience. The internship has a rolling application process, and successful candidates are expected to work for at least 12 weeks.
Team OverviewThe Recommendation Algorithm team is central to driving product decisions and platform growth. Machine learning researchers and engineers support and innovate production recommendation models, creating product impact.
Responsibilities- Conduct development and research on cutting‑edge CV, NLP, multi‑modality, LLM, and generative modeling.
- Follow state‑of‑the‑art progress in relevant fields and transform ideas into production.
- Oversee the life‑cycle of model development, from training and deployment to maintenance and business use.
- Currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree.
- Experience in one or more areas of computer vision, natural language processing, or machine learning.
- Solid knowledge and experience with at least one major deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow, MXNet).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.
- Authors with publications in top‑tier venues such as SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR.
Hourly rate: $60. Interns have access to health and life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays per year, paid sick time, and may be eligible for a housing allowance if not working 100% remote. These benefits may vary by location.
