Tik Tok's User Growth is a cross‑functional department (engineering, data science, recommendation/algorithm, product, marketing, operations) that apply a data‑driven approach to growth. We work closely to improve the whole Tik Tok user growth funnel: branding, acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention, across a variety of products.

We own multiple product surfaces to serve the diverse content of Tik Tok to different users and usage scenarios, including Tik Tok Webapp (), Vehicle Infotainment Systems (Tesla), and Tik Tok Tablet apps. We are continually expanding to new surfaces. Together they form an important traffic matrix for Tik Tok to keep growing its user base and user consumption.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at Tik Tok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands‑on experience. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real‑world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks. Candidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in Tik Tok's technical online assessment.

• Participate in the conception, estimation, and prioritization of ideas, with data‑driven product sense
• Use full‑stack technology (Node.js, React, Type Script, HTML, CSS, Go, iOS/Android) to develop MVPs and run experiments to validate ideas and iterate quickly, leveraging new technologies, tools when needed.
• Work with product managers and data scientists to analyse product and user data, and iterate product based on data insights

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45–$45.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
