• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in Python.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with machine learning infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
• 3 years of experience in computer vision (image classification, processing, object detection, visual search), video generation, or signal processing.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Google’s software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Platforms and Devices team works on computing software platforms across desktop, mobile, and applications, as well as first‑party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Engineers in this team research, design, and develop new technologies to make user interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for users worldwide.

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices among available technologies.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product or program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Design and implement computer vision systems, leverage machine learning infrastructure, and evaluate tradeoffs between different algorithms and design techniques.

US: $174,000 – $253,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Equity is granted exclusively and discretionarily by Alphabet Inc.
