• Work with 802.11 WLAN chipsets, devices and protocols, including other networking devices
• Collaborate with wider teams to build end‑to‑end feature deliverables, build and maintain production quality firmware
• Design and develop modules in embedded firmware for Samsung’s Wireless Connectivity solutions
• Implement, unit test and fix issues for various features of 802.11 MAC

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 0+ years in wireless communication technologies
• Excellent coding skills in C for embedded firmware development
• Ability to debug low‑level embedded software, custom code and enhancements
• Knowledge of WLAN standards and Wi‑Fi (IEEE 802.11) MAC protocols, WFA protocols and coexistence with BT, UWB and cellular technologies
• Knowledge of OFDM, OFDMA principles, beam forming and RF concepts is an advantage
• Understanding of QoS concepts and data path optimization algorithms
• Understanding of the Linux operating system, kernel, and device driver development
• Experience using debugging tools such as Wireshark, WFA test beds, version control tools such as git
• Python knowledge is an advantage
• Familiarity with other wireless technologies such as BT, Ultra‑Wide band and cellular 4G/5G is preferred
• Strong understanding of MAC Layer and physical layer concepts (e.g., OFDM, OFDMA)
• Experience developing firmware for wireless communication protocols (WLAN)
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as network analyzers, WFA test beds, signal generators, power meters
