As a Software Development Engineer at Xilinx, a subsidiary of AMD, you will research, design, develop, and test operating‑systems‑level software, compilers, and network distribution software for semiconductor operations. Your responsibilities include researching and applying principles of computer science, engineering and mathematics; designing and developing system‑level software for operating systems, compilers, routers and network utilities; troubleshooting and debugging software to deliver enhancements and new products;

developing tools to support design, infrastructure and technology platforms; determining hardware compatibility and influencing hardware design; and working on complex problems that require analysis of a wide variety of factors.

Under limited supervision, you will exercise judgment within defined company procedures to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Degree required:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

None specified. Experience may be gained through graduate‑level coursework, research, project work, assistantship or internship.
