Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability of software solutions that drive customer satisfaction. We are looking for an experienced QA professional and technical leader with strong analytical, test design, automation, and problem‑solving skills.
As a key member of a multidisciplinary team of software, systems, applications, hardware, and algorithm engineers, you will validate complex software systems spanning hardware, firmware, operating systems, desktop applications, and web applications. You will thrive in collaborative teams while solving complex quality, scalability, and reliability challenges across the full technology stack.
Role and Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies to support product and technology roadmaps.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Apply systematic root‑cause analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system designs support testability, manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.
- Validate technical integration of hardware and software solutions across complex systems.
- Drive adoption of software quality best practices, including test automation, quality metrics, defect prevention, and continuous testing.
- Contribute to and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated build verification, testing, and release validation.
- Review software requirements, architecture, and design documents to identify test coverage gaps and quality risks.
- Participate in defect triage, issue prioritization, and resolution activities.
- Establish quality standards, test processes, and reporting mechanisms across development projects.
- Mentor team members on quality engineering methodologies and automation practices.
Master’s degree with substantial general work experience, or equivalent working and thinking level. Comprehensive job‑related experience in your expertise area to full competence level.
Seasoned designer within own competence and has completed at least one product development cycle.
Skills- Ability to analyze complex systems, decompose requirements, and develop comprehensive test plans and validation strategies.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance methodologies, and testing best practices.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable automated test frameworks.
- Ability to validate legacy and modern systems operating in hybrid environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across distributed and integrated systems.
- Experience designing and executing:
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
- System testing
- Regression testing
- Performance testing
- End‑to‑end validation testing
- Proficient in .NET technologies and programming languages such as C# and/or C++.
- Hands‑on experience testing WCF and WPF applications.
- Experience validating distributed systems, state machines, and parallel processing applications.
- Experience with test automation tools, defect tracking systems, and CI/CD platforms.
- Eight or more years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or software validation using C#, .NET, and/or C++.
- Three or more years of experience leading quality engineering initiatives, test architecture design, automation strategy, or validation of complex software systems.
- Hybrid work model requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Travel one to two times per year to support software validation and customer‑site quality initiatives.
Current base annual salary range: $140,250 – $210,375.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance; a 401(k) plan; eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month; and thirteen (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
