Overview
We are now looking for a Senior System Software Engineer to work in our Tegra system software group. The best candidates will have excellent C/C++, a thorough understanding of operating systems and kernel programming, and a good understanding of computer architecture. You will join a dynamic team that builds and maintains software for complex heterogeneous computing systems used in server products powering AI, HPC, and accelerated computing workloads.
We are seeking creative software engineers with a passion for developing products with new technology.
Designing and developing test frameworks that can efficiently validate and stress SOC/ System through the full software development lifecycle. This may include working in user-space, kernel, firmware, or boot software of SOC.
Architecting and driving new diagnostic software solutions for all phases of the product life cycle — bring up, manufacturing, hardware qualification, failure analysis, and custom platforms.
Spearheading initiatives to improve efficiency, robustness, and user-friendliness of the software delivered for design validation, thermal and power characterization, manufacturing screening, and external customer bring up.
Understanding and participating in debug and root cause analysis of complex board/system level failures.
Communicating effectively with various teams across the company, as well as with customers and partners.
BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent experience.
8+ years of industry-related experience.
Strong C/C++ programming skills and object-oriented programming.
Experience with low-level / driver-level programming.
Understanding of processor architecture fundamentals, preferably ARM.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and planning skills.
Knowledge of Linux kernel internals and solid understanding of ARM platforms.
Experience in diagnostic software for data center and server systems.
Experience in pre-silicon / post-silicon bring-up planning and execution of complex SoCs and platforms.
Consistent record of learning new technologies on the job in a time-bound manner.
Experience working in teams on large software projects and understanding of software product release lifecycle.
Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
