Job Summary

Pay Pal, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer 2 in San Jose, CA.

• Design, develop and deploy high-volume and scalable front- and back-end focused software.
• Build and implement web applications using React/Node.
• Create back-end services using Java, SQL, REST and/or develop new user-facing experiences.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams in software design, product and other business units.
• Utilize experience with and knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Node.js applications, Java, C++, Python.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

• Experience designing and developing large-scale backend APIs using TTD.
• Knowledge of maintaining and enhancing application pipelines powered by Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures, specifically AWS.
• Experience with Agile environments with dynamic initiatives.
• Knowledge of database optimizations and query count management.

Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance. 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Salary range for San Jose, CA: $149,365 – $198,500 per annum. Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation.
