• Be responsible for e-Commerce solutions for Tik Tok Shop in the US.
• Be responsible for building an intuitive and reliable shopping experience, including browsing product details, returns, and refunds.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and extendable design and code, and provide clear documentation for a fast‑growing product team.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science or related fields from an accredited and reputable institution.
• Minimum: 5+ years of experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java, Golang, Python, Scala, or C++.
• Minimum:
  Experience in software programming capabilities, exhibiting good code design and coding style.
• Minimum:
  Experience in understanding data structures, algorithms, and highly scalable system design.
• Minimum:
  Experience aligning product engineering directions with current and future products and business.
• Preferred: E‑commerce industry experience.
• Preferred:
  Understanding of observability, reliability, and performance optimization for large‑scale systems.
• Preferred:
  Passion for programming, strong learning ability, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset toward staying current with industry technologies.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $212,800 - $387,600 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
