Software Development Engineer – San Jose, CA

Full‑time position.

- System Design (Intermediate)
- AWS (Intermediate)
- Design, build, and support system architecture and software for Ring IoT products.
- Develop and maintain cloud‑based software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build high‑performance and scalable security data analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with product management, data engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver architecturally sound solutions.
- Participate in system design, architecture, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Leverage SQL/data analytics to evaluate system performance, data integrity, and user feedback.
- Experience with Java, Type Script, and AWS services.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable software components.
- Experience in performance and reliability engineering.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with continuous integration, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams is a plus.
12 months with possible extension. Salary range: $60.00–$65.00 hourly.
