The AI Platform team is a team focusing on building advanced end-to-end AI production pipelines, including deep learning model training, optimization, deployment and applications. We provide AI capabilities to empower content creation and consumption on Tik Tok and serve billions of users. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals. This internship provides students the opportunity to join one of our engineering teams where you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, architect and implement large-scale machine learning systems/infrastructure/services for computer vision, computer graphics and deep learning models.
• Build cross-platform applications to explore new technologies and new product directions.
• Work closely with research scientists to develop efficient algorithms and prototypes on various platforms.
• Build automation frameworks and tools to ensure high engineering quality and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Undergraduate/Master's in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms and data structures) and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with C/C++/Java/Go/Python.
• Experience dealing with concurrent systems and architectures.
• Experience with standard deep learning frameworks.
• Proficiency with profiling tools and optimization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.

For Pay Transparency Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $45.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
