AI-Native Software Engineer

Customers are looking for a full-stack, AI-native software engineer to build capabilities that will help secure the products of today and the AI-built, agent-operated systems of tomorrow.

Roles & Responsibilities

Make the shift from being an experienced, effective software engineer to being an AI-native software engineer.
Serve as a software engineer for web application projects hosted On-Premise and Cloud, supporting a large customer base.
Treat performance as a design constraint, not a tuning pass after the fact.
Know when to build and when to buy, and justify choosing a custom-built solution over an off-the-shelf or cloud-native service.
Think in systems and evaluate designs critically, whether reviewing AI-generated code or your own architecture, catching subtle bugs, security gaps, or design choices that will not hold up under load or misuse.
Use spec-driven development with AI as the default way of engineering software.
Pick up new tools and approaches quickly, adapting as effective ways of working with AI change.
Analytically weigh trade-offs, balance competing priorities, and drive decisions that span organizational boundaries.
Maintain excellent communication and organization skills.

Minimum Qualifications

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Demonstrated fluency in leveraging AI technologies across the entire software development lifecycle, including:

Breaking down user stories into actionable tasks.
AI-assisted coding and testing.
Automated defect resolution.
Deployment of fully tested software.

Server-side software development experience with Python, Java, NodeJS, and/or other similar technologies.
Client-side web application development experience using React, Backbone, native JavaScript, and/or other comparable technologies.
Expertise in building secure, large-scale systems using fault-tolerant technologies such as Elasticsearch, Cockroach DB, Oracle, MongoDB, and Kafka.
Experience with building and deploying with cloud-native technologies.
Ability to work decisively without being divisive, balancing competing priorities and driving decisions across organizational boundaries.
