In this role, you will be a pivotal member of a data engineering team, tasked with creating distributed analysis capabilities around diverse datasets. Your expertise in software craftsmanship and deep understanding of algorithms and data structures will drive innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain distributed analysis capabilities for large datasets.
  • Apply advanced algorithms and data structures to enhance software performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve unique challenges in agricultural data management.
  • Evaluate and implement relevant technology stacks tailored to specific datasets.
  • Present findings and innovations at technical conferences to share knowledge and insights.
  • Contribute ideas and expertise to various projects, emphasizing the strength of concepts over organizational hierarchy.
Skills:
  • Proficient in software engineering principles with at least 7 years of experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Go, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining data-intensive APIs using RESTful architecture (2 years required).
  • Familiarity with stream processing technologies, particularly Apache Kafka.
  • Comfortable with Unit Testing and Test Driven Development methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable in containerization technologies such as Docker for application deployment.
  • Proven ability to build and manage cloud-based infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in data modeling for large-scale databases, including both relational and No

    SQL systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in cloud computing or software development are a plus.
