Position Overview
Henner Tank Lines, Inc., a leading contract carrier, is currently seeking local Class‑A drivers to join our team. As an employee‑owned and locally operated company, we value our drivers as integral members of our family, not just as numbers in an out‑of‑state operation.
Am and Pm shifts are open in our San Jose terminal. We offer full‑time employment at five‑on two‑off standard schedules. We have some flexibility in schedule options if you have a special circumstance – first come first serve! Henner Tank Lines maintains year‑round steady work. San Jose terminal shifts hourly pays from $33/hr – $38/hr, plus overtime, depending on shift selection, and an added monthly safety performance bonus of $2/hr for every safe hour worked, we pay overtime on our bonuses as well – bonus paid monthly.
We pay double‑time on company‑observed holidays.
Full weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday included) pay $1 more per hour on top of the regular pay. All trucks are late‑model Peterbilts with Beall tanks—some of the nicest in the industry.

- Three years of verifiable Class‑A driving experience.
- A current tanker endorsement.
- A current haz‑mat endorsement.
- Doubles /Triples endorsement.
- A valid TWIC card.
- A current Medical Certificate.
- Pass a DOT Drug Test.
- Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner.
- Requires getting into and out of the truck frequently.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour shift.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 70 lbs. on a regular basis.
- A tanker driver must also be physically able to load and unload the tanker.

- The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver's responsibilities include safe product handling, product quality assurance, and product transportation consistent with regulatory compliance and company operating goals.
- The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver is responsible for the pick‑up and the drop‑off of Petroleum Products.
- The driver must keep the truck properly maintained and must follow all safe driving regulations.
- Maintains communication with dispatch as to any delays or issues during the route/shift.
- Performs a daily DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
- Maintains a daily, legible DOT e‑log.
- Maintains the vehicle in a neat and tidy manner.
- Comply with all company safety & performance standards.
