Local Delivery Driver (CDL with Hazmat) - San Jose, CA

As an Ambassador for Airgas, the Service & Delivery Professional takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business partners. You will operate from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company‑provided truck, manage the flow of cylinders, and build lasting relationships with customers.

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
• Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest and obtain customer signatures.
• Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Adhere to Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).
• Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid Class A CDL or Class B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements.
• Hazmat endorsement required; candidates without current HAZMAT will not be considered.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years.
• No driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven years.
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment.
• Must be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with material‑handling equipment.
• One year of CDL driving experience in the last five years, or proof of trucking school completion within the last 12 months.

• Forklift experience.
• One year of CDL experience.

• Pay: CDL A License holders $35.00/hr; CDL B $33.25/hr.
• Potential for bonuses and a $500 referral bonus.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday day shift with occasional weekend.
