Delivery Driver

My Green Lunch is looking for self‑motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to join our team as a part‑time Delivery Driver. You will work with a great team in a family‑feeling environment. Drivers receive a $1,000 retention bonus if they work from their hire date through the end of our school year.

• HOURS:
  
  Weekdays starting at 6:45 am, end times vary between 11:00 and 12:00 pm
• Ability to work well with peers, customers, and the community in a professional manner
• Strong understanding of customer service and the importance of meeting customers/school’s needs
• Work well under pressure and remain calm, even in stressful situations
• Solid attention to detail and ability to follow precise directions, including time‑management skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, be detail‑oriented, and comfortable with a daily routine that can change every day or stay the same for weeks
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Knowledge of work safety rules, including equipment use, proper lifting techniques and safe driving skills, all in order to keep a safe work environment for themselves and the MGL team
• Positive attitude and teamwork mentality are important in our work environment, as you will be sorting, loading and providing support to other drivers and kitchen staff
• Attend staff meetings and events, as well as perform other duties as assigned
• There is a possibility of additional hours and responsibility in our kitchen for those candidates interested

• 1 year professional driving experience
• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Ability to lift 80 pounds
• Good vision, both close and distance
• Clean CA DMV driving record
• Must pass a background check (livescan)

• $1,000 retention bonus if you work through the end of our school year
• Vacation and holiday pay accrual after 5 years of service
