Commissary Worker - Santa Clara County Commissary

The Commissary Worker is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and product, preparing and completing orders for delivery to inmates, and performing inventory and quality control. Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position is $21 to $22. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

• Transfer products and/or merchandise from the warehouse.
• Receive products and merchandise, check for quality and damage, and ensure accurate storage of the delivered items.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Perform physical inventory as needed.
• Process requests for supplies, prepare merchandise for delivery, and prepare packages for delivery according to established procedures.

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic math and counting skills required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. It may also require uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
