Data Center Inventory & Asset Coordinator
We are currently seeking a Data Center Inventory & Asset Coordinator responsible for the shipping, receiving, tracking, and inventory management of hardware, equipment, and components within a data center environment.
Daily responsibilities include tracking inventory and product availability, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, maintaining shipment documentation, and ensuring required tools, consumables, and assets are available for technical teams.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within inventory and asset management systems, including configuration management databases and asset repositories.
- Perform inventory cycle counts/audits, data corrections, and regulatory or compliance-related inventory activities.
- Handle material movement, including shipping, receiving, stocking, and inventory management.
- Ensure inventory and logistics tasks are completed accurately and according to established procedures and industry standards.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and customers.
- Work closely with field technicians and central logistics hubs to coordinate shipping activities.
- Arrange freight carrier pickups and delivery schedules.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of shortages or replenishment requirements.
- Escalate inventory, shipping, or operational issues when necessary.
- Follow all applicable safety requirements and procedures.
- Recommend improvements to increase productivity, safety, and inventory accuracy.
- Participate in additional projects and operational duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with inventory management and logistics.
- Familiarity with documentation requirements for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and within local or geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to travel locally between data center locations as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) when required.
- Ability to safely climb ladders when necessary.
- Ability to properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to stand and walk throughout a facility for extended periods.
- Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and materials and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- S2: 2–4 years of relevant inventory, logistics, warehouse, or asset management experience.
- S3: 5–7 years of relevant inventory, logistics, warehouse, or asset management experience.
