Senior Accounting Clerk

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Clerk for a contract/temporary opportunity in the San Juan Capistrano, CA area. This role is ideal for an accounting or administrative professional with 1-2 years of experience who enjoys detailed clerical accounting work, accurate recordkeeping, and supporting daily department operations.

The Senior Accounting Clerk will work in a structured, process-driven environment with established procedures, supportive guidance from experienced staff, and opportunities to contribute to important accounting, filing, invoicing, and administrative functions. • Perform general accounting clerical duties, including maintaining logs, records, spreadsheets, and electronic files.
• Process invoices, verify accuracy, reconcile statements, and support routine accounting transactions.
• Create, organize, update, and retrieve records and confidential files using established filing procedures.
• Receive, record, balance, and document cash receipts or deposits when assigned.
• Prepare routine paperwork, forms, spreadsheets, correspondence, and reports.
• Assist with departmental projects, yearly assignments, vendor inquiries, and other administrative support needs.

• Salary Range: $60,000 to $67,000 per year.
