Primary PurposeDirect and manage the campus extracurricular and intramural athletic program. Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in sport(s) assigned. Contribute to education program as a whole and to growth of students involved in athletics.
Education / Certification- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of coaching techniques, strategies, and procedures
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations
- Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes
- Ability to manage budget, personnel and coordinate district functions
- Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
- Evidence of commitment to overall athletic program excellence for all student athletes
- Evidence of commitment to Academic Excellence
Successful Head Varsity Football Coaching Experience or at least three (3) years of current and successful experience as an Offensive or Defensive Coordinator at the 5A or 6A level?
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable.
