Meat Cutter / Meat Processing Associate
Location: San Juan, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with some weekends as needed
Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Meat Cutter for a busy food production facility in San Juan, TX. This position is responsible for preparing and cutting meat for large-scale food production in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Recent meat-cutting experience within the past 12 months is REQUIRED
- Recent hands-on experience operating a commercial band saw is REQUIRED
- Candidates without recent meat-cutting and band-saw experience will not be considered.
- Safely operate a commercial band saw to cut meat to specified sizes
- Defrost and prepare meat for production
- Trim, portion, and cut meat according to production requirements
- Handle and move meat and materials throughout the production area
- Follow food safely, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work efficiently to meet daily production demands
- Assist with other food production duties as needed
- At least 1 year of recent meat-cutting experience, preferably within the past 12 months
- Recent experience using a commercial band saw
- Previous experience in a meat market, butcher shop, food processing facility, or similar production environment strongly preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment
