Job Summary

Home Depot is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Asset Protection Specialist – Security to safeguard company assets, merchandise, and team members while ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for customers. This role plays a critical part in loss prevention, risk mitigation, and compliance with company security standards. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, ethical, customer-focused, and capable of responding effectively to security-related incidents in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor store activities to deter theft, fraud, and other loss-related risks.

  • Conduct surveillance and investigations related to shrinkage, theft, and safety incidents.

  • Enforce Home Depots asset protection, safety, and security policies consistently.

  • Partner with store leadership to identify risk areas and implement preventative measures.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.

  • Prepare accurate reports on incidents, investigations, and loss trends.

  • Collaborate with local law enforcement when required, following company protocols.

  • Train and educate associates on loss prevention awareness and safety practices.

  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in all security matters.

Experience
  • Previous experience in asset protection, loss prevention, security, or retail operations is preferred.

  • Experience handling investigations, surveillance systems, or safety compliance is an advantage.

  • Fresh candidates with relevant training or strong aptitude for security roles may also be considered.

Working Hours
  • Full-time or part-time shifts available depending on store requirements.

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and retail security practices.

  • Ability to assess risks and take proactive preventative action.

  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol the store for extended periods.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with store teams.
