Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in San Leandro, California. In this role, you will oversee financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of accounting records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and familiarity with Quick Books, as well as experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee full-cycle accounting, including A/P and A/R

+ Perform regular bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations

+ Process bi-weekly payroll and manage employee time tracking

+ Prepare and file sales tax reports; assist with year-end close

+ Generate financial statements, including balance sheets and P& L reports

+ Maintain accurate records in Quick Books Online

+ Resolve billing issues with vendors, customers, and management

+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning

Requirements

+ 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; small business background preferred

+ Proficient in Quick Books Online

+ Solid knowledge of GAAP

+

Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Self-motivated with ability to maintain confidentiality

+ Comfortable using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office

Preferred:

+ Industry experience in manufacturing, printing, or apparel

+ Familiarity with inventory management or job costing
