Procurement Specialist

Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company that specializes in the research, development, and commercialization of innovative cancer therapies. With a talented team of scientists, researchers, and industry experts, we are at the forefront of the fight against cancer, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the field of oncology.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Procurement Specialist to join our team for a short-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of critical materials and services needed to support our research and development efforts.

• Identify and source suppliers for a wide range of goods and services, including laboratory equipment, raw materials, and specialized services
• Negotiate favorable contract terms and pricing with vendors to maximize value for the company
• Manage vendor relationships, monitor performance, and resolve any issues that may arise
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and develop strategic sourcing solutions
• Maintain accurate records and reporting on all procurement activities

• 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in the use of procurement software and data analysis tools
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

This is a full-time, contract position based in our state-of-the‑art research facilities in the Greater SF Area. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed to meet project deadlines. The role may involve some light physical demands, such as lifting and moving supplies or equipment.
