Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Bay Area, CA

The Senior Mechanical Commissioning Agent will be responsible for...

  • Lead mechanical commissioning activities from design through occupancy and project closeout.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, sequences of operation, and design intent documentation.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, functional performance tests, and commissioning reports.
  • Verify the performance of HVAC, central plant, and mechanical systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers, and facility personnel to resolve issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Mentor junior team members and serve as a technical resource on complex projects.

The Senior Mechanical Commissioning Agent should have the following...

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in commissioning, mechanical engineering, facilities engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, central plants, building automation systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Healthcare commissioning experience and relevant commissioning certifications such as CxA, CCP, or BCxP are highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel locally to project sites throughout the Bay Area as needed.
