* Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities
- Counseling Services
:
Provide individual, group, and/or parent counseling as outlined in each student's IEP. - Student Referrals
:
Create and manage referral assessments for Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS). - Collaboration and consultation
:
Collaborate with school staff to interpret assessment results and develop appropriate interventions. - Work closely with teachers, school administrators/directors, and other school personnel to address students' needs and provide insights on mental health issues.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff and other therapists on mental health topics and effective strategies for supporting students.
- Therapeutic Support
:
Offer behavioral support and crisis counseling as needed. - Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes on the platform provided by the company. Prepare reports and documentation for school administration and external agencies as required.
- Confidentiality
:
Ensure client information is kept confidential and obtain necessary permissions for information sharing. - Supervision
:
Participate in weekly supervision/consultation meetings with other therapists. - Continuing Education
:
Complete all Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) mandated continuing education and renew licenses as required.
- Education
:
Master's degree in Counseling or related field (Clinical Psychology, Social Work, etc.). - Licensure/Credentials
:
Active AMFT, ASW, APCC, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW license with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Cleared PPS credential with CTC. - Clearances
: DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & Tuberculosis Clearance. - Training
:
Pro-Act, CPI intervention training, and CPR certification. - Skills
:
Proficient in standard software applications and strong communication skills.

:
Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes. - Physical Activity
:
Frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. - Sensory Requirements
:
Normal vision and hearing, with or without correction.
