What You Will Do

The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for ensuring projects move through the Distribution Center accurately, efficiently, and on the agreed‑upon timeline. This role serves as the operational link between the Projects Teams, Warehouse, and Transportation. The Coordinator works physically on the warehouse floor to monitor project status, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain clear communication across all teams involved in wire project fulfillment.

  • Serve as the primary in‑warehouse point of contact for projects activity, ensuring alignment between the Project Manager, Warehouse, and Transportation.
  • Monitor daily progress of wire projects on the warehouse floor to ensure all orders meet customer‑committed timelines.
  • Coordinate cutting schedules, material staging, and workflow sequencing to prevent delays or bottlenecks.
  • Communicate project status updates, risks, and completion timelines to the Commodities Manager and relevant teams.
  • Verify accuracy of wire cuts, labeling, packaging, and documentation before orders move to shipping.
  • Partner with Transportation to ensure completed orders are scheduled, loaded, and dispatched correctly.
  • Monitor, track, and verify all equipment required for projects, ensuring timely receipt, staging, and availability for production.
  • Oversee receiving of wire reels, tools, and project‑specific materials, confirming accuracy against purchase orders and project requirements.
  • Identify process gaps or recurring issues in wire project flow and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
Communication & Coordination
  • Act as the primary point of contact in the warehouse for the Wire Projects Team.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and completion status to the Commodities Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Transportation team to ensure accurate scheduling, loading, and dispatch of completed wire orders.
  • Facilitate daily or weekly touchpoints with cross‑functional teams to maintain alignment.
Quality & Accuracy
  • Review project specifications to ensure wire cuts, packaging, and labeling meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct spot checks on completed wire orders before they are released to shipping.
  • Ensure all documentation, work orders, and system updates are completed accurately.
Process Improvement
  • Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies in the wire project workflow and recommend improvements.
  • Support the Project Teams in developing standardized processes for project execution.
  • Assist in implementing new tools, tracking methods, or communication practices to improve project flow.
What You Will Bring
  • Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Solid organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Comfortable working on the warehouse floor and interacting with operational staff.
  • Experience with wire products, cutting operations, or project‑based fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or project tracking tools.
  • Prior experience in a coordinator or lead role.

Salary Range
